ready to unleash

Free your mind from the rigors of life. Release your body’s primal instincts.

It’s 3:39 pm. David finally gets back to his office after six hours of back-to-back
meetings. He checks his inbox. 231 new messages, seven overdue items. He
sighs heavily and looks again at the clock. He’s itching for the day to end and the
evening to begin. With PlayClub.

Julie checks the rearview mirror. Timmy is pulling katie’s hair. The baby is
crying. Everyone’s screaming. She looks ahead and slams on the brakes. Nasty
gridlock. She moans and yearns for her escape. To PlayClub.

Fifteen minutes left, announces the invigilator. Paul looks up from his exam.
Hundreds of students are still seated. Later, he revisits the questions in his head,
trying to divert his mind from the stench in the over-packed metro car. He has
another exam tomorrow and has to study. But not yet. Not until after his game at
PlayClub.

At the club, David gets on the field, hungry to battle for the ball. He takes a deep
breath, tasting the turf. This is better than any gym. He stretches and thinks of his
opponent. We have to beat them this time. Number ten is mine.
The office is light-years away.

Julie hasn’t played in years, but that doesn’t stop her. The club places her on a
team needing a goalie. Her teammates are strong, tough. Jumping up, she grabs
the ball and rolls to the ground. sHe calls out and launches it back into play.
She’s alive with energy.

Paul smiles at the staff as he enters the club.
His feet dance nimbly across the field. The ball is his constant companion. He is
on fire. He clenches his fists and roars as the ball slams into the back of the net.
After showering, he looks at his rejuvenated self in the mirror. Now I’m ready, he
thinks.
